Pekilo Exhibition Centre is an exhibition venue in the town of Mänttä, part of the municipality of Mänttä-Vilppula. The venue is located in a former industrial building near the old factory chimney in Mänttä and has served for many years as the main venue of the Mänttä Art Festival, one of Finland’s leading summer exhibitions of contemporary art.
Every summer, Pekilo hosts the Mänttä Art Festival, where a new curator presents a fresh perspective on Finnish contemporary art. The spacious venue is suitable for installations, video art, painting, photography, sound works and other forms of contemporary art. During the festival, the Pekilo shop also serves visitors with coffee, drinks, snacks and art books.
