Apocalyptica to bring Plays Metallica Vol. 2 to Laukon kartano in August 2026

Apocalyptica will perform at Laukon kartano on 14 August 2026 with their Plays Metallica Vol. 2 programme. The concert will feature the band’s unique cello-metal versions of Metallica classics in the historic manor park.

Finnish cello metal band Apocalyptica will perform at Laukon kartano in Vesilahti in summer 2026. The concert will take place on Friday, 14 August 2026, in the historic park of Laukko Manor, about 40 km south of Tampere. The band will bring its internationally successful Plays Metallica Vol. 2 tour to the manor park. The concert programme is built around Apocalyptica’s unique versions of classic Metallica songs, arranged for cellos in the band’s distinctive symphonic and progressive metal style. Apocalyptica’s story began in 1996, when young cellists from the Sibelius Academy released their groundbreaking debut album Plays Metallica by Four Cellos. Nearly three decades later, the band returned to its roots with a new album of Metallica songs arranged for cellos. The world tour following Plays Metallica Vol. 2 has brought Apocalyptica’s original concept back to the stage in a powerful new form. The Laukon kartano concert will be a strong choice for fans of Metallica, symphonic metal, progressive metal and Finnish live music. The historic manor park offers an atmospheric open-air setting where visitors can combine a concert evening with exhibitions, food, terraces, the manor shop and the surrounding park. The concert area opens at 12:00, when exhibitions, the restaurant and terraces are also available. The welcome programme starts at 18:30, and Apocalyptica’s showtime is at 19:00. The concert lasts approximately 90 minutes. The organisers recommend arriving early, preferably before 17:30, as this is one of the largest concerts of Laukko’s summer season. Tickets cost 49 € and include access to the exhibitions. The event has an age limit of 18+.
