Kissojen Yö 2026 — Night of the Cats at Korkeasaari Zoo

Kissojen Yö, or “Night of the Cats”, is an evening event at Korkeasaari Zoo dedicated to wild cats and their conservation. Visitors can enjoy animal feedings, a themed family programme and an atmospheric walk through the zoo in the autumn twilight.

Kissojen Yö 2026 is a traditional evening event at Korkeasaari Zoo in Helsinki, dedicated to wild cats and their protection. In 2026, the event will take place on Saturday, 19 September. On this special evening, the zoo will be open to visitors with separate event tickets from 16:00 to 23:00, and the last entry is at 21:00. During Kissojen Yö, visitors can see wild cat feedings, listen to talks by guides and enjoy the special atmosphere of Korkeasaari in the autumn twilight. The programme is suitable for the whole family and includes themed activity points, conservation bingo, a friendship bracelet workshop, face painting, a wheel of fortune and a DJ. A more detailed programme will be published closer to the event date. The event also has a conservation purpose: one euro from each ticket sold will be donated to the protection of wild Pallas’s cats. According to the organisers, Pallas’s cats in the wild are threatened by habitat loss and poaching, and their population is declining.
